Photography Workshop | UKM

Date : 7th Feb. 2010
Venue : UKM Bangi
Purpose : Photography Talk for newbies/beginners
Participants : around 60-65 person...
Held @ Kolej Aminuddin Baki Hall
Starts 3pm - ends 5pm

Talk Session..Alhamdulillah dapat sambutan...

Theory lessons ends...and workshop parts began..

Lots, was exited on the workshop part, because it was held outside the hall. Its actually called as outdoor shooting session.
Most of them, uses compact camera. There are some DSLR users...the ones with compact camera wasn't disappointed with the outdoor session because they also learn how to use compact to fine nice angle,ISO etc. Teached by my buddy Flan Aan. DSLR users mostly refers to me and Farhan..

Model in the action event was Mi Naz. But later on,i decided to add another model from the participants. It was Tg. Nielam Baizura Tg. Ismail. She was very shy at first but sporting later on..

The outdoor shooting session was mainly for participants to practice the theories given earlier, therefore, they'd understand what I've babbling about earlier with all the slides shown. Lots a question were asked. They learn more about photography when they experienced it by their own.

Now they know how to use DSLR/compact camera more than before. Participant were satisfied with the event and hope to learn more in the furture with me and my friends...InsyaAllah...

5pm...

Workshop done, and the closing ceremony began...

I was very happy, because my talk on photography was taken seriously and the event went smoothly...it was a great day and at the end of the ceremony,me and Mi Naz received a token of appreciation from the UKM communities... THANK YOU VERY MUCH guys!!!

cinematic tone

Those images do appear to be somewhat cross-processed, but there's more to it than that. One hallmark of the effect is the golden cast on the lighting, which can be reproduced rather easily with adjustment layers. Try a sepia or warming photo filter layer at low opacity (say 20-40%) and play with the blending modes to find what looks best to you.

You can also try a magenta or red solid adjustment layer set to overlay at very low opacity (~10%) to give more of a sunset/sunrise appearance and bring warmth back into skin tones.

It just takes some experimentation.

There also seems to be a lot of vignetting (either manual or using the lens correction tool) and maybe some false "painting with light", which is basically having a black layer with low opacity and painting in (erasing) areas that you want brighter using a mask.

design garage

Intro
Founded in the mid-nineteenth century, KUALA LUMPUR, or KL as it's popularly known, is the youngest Southeast Asian capital and the most
economically successful after Singapore –and it's still growing: building sites abound and the city is
awash with stunning examples of modernarchitecture, not least the famous Petronas Towers and the recently opened Museum of Islamic Arts.

Bukit Nanas
Bukit Nanas near Kuala Lumpur Tower is one of the oldest permanent forest reserve in the country. It was gazetted in 1906 and was formerly known as Bucket Weld Forest Reserve. It covers an area of approximately 11 hectares and is the only remaining tropical rainforest in the heart of the city of Kuala Lumpur. It celebrated its Centennial Anniversary in year 2006.

Concept & style
The site is situatued in a slope condition at Bukit Nanas (fully green). Fractal Geometry has been employed in this design concept. It was the universal idea that the natural encoded with the modern art. The railings, door handles, benches, chairs, staircase are all based on Fractal Geometry the new age that is dawning.

Goal
To create and design a modern tourist information centre which provide cafe(internet access),mini post office, artist studio, gallery, mini theater, money changer, ATM machine, surau and information centre as well.

Objective

from a tourism standpoint.
